Tomorrowland - A World Beyond (2015)

The trailer was all about the excitement and future and marvel! It was a marvelous trailer. Movie for the adventures type. Well not quite. I am just happy that it was a Super day when I went to see this one. A bit of a disappointment. It was more a teenage flick. Not really having any substance. The idea was there, but then nothing. Just the idea. I would have been livid if I had had to pay 12 euros to see this one.

Really there is no reason why one should see this one. Unless you are a teenager.. Then you might enjoy this one. Just wait until it is shown on TV. I can't remember when was the last time I was so disappointed after seeing a movie. I did not walk out, so there is something. Not recommending this, but if you stumble upon it you should watch it. It is better than some of the movies I have seen.

Home (2015)

This was not my choice, but my niece's and nephew's. This time I saw this animated flick in Finnish (due to the children being with us).  Based on what they thought of this movie, it is really funny and surprising. Although I do have to say that the movie was not quite what the trailer said. The ending might not be suitable for the youngest, at least not for my nephew. He was a bit scared of it. The plot was okey and funny to my taste, and as a family movie, maybe you should see this at home (where you can easily comfort the younger ones).

So the plot is that aliens invade earth and transport all but one humans to Australia. Not to fear the aliens are all friendly and want what is best for us... So you know that you will have good time watching this one. You can watch this at any time anywhere.

Into the Woods (2015)

I wanted to see this as soon as I heard it was being made. Well at first I did not know it was a musical. In the end it didn't matter as it is not a deal breaker for me. So about the movie. I loved how it showed the original story and not the Hollywood version. Of course it was a bit of a mix and match with the stories, but it all was woven together well. If you are not into updated stories, then you might want to skip this one. Also if you are not into musical, then skip this one.

Now, I did not like some parts of it. Mostly there were some parts in the last 20 minutes, that were a bit off with me. All in all I do recommend this one. Even I enjoyed it, although I had some expectations before seeing it. And as I have told before, the movies do not bare well with my expectations. So I think we can give an extra plus for that.

I think this movie will work best on the big screen, but if you have a good home theater then you might enjoy the music at home too. This is not for the smallest of children I think. Or then I am too old and can't see it as children would. Not a must see, but enjoyable none the less.

Big Game (2015)

This was the movie I went to see with my friends on the Super day. I am not a fan of Finnish movies, just because most of the times the actors cannot act and are the same ones as in other Finnish movies. So they are pretty predictable. I went to see this movie with pretty much no expectations.

That was a good thing. It is good because it made the experience better. Having no expectations made the movie a lot better. The plot was predictable, but enjoyable. Mainly because the actors  were so good. I was surprised to see so many familiar faces (and not talking about the finnish actors).

I have to apologizes! This has been waiting here for months now. I have seen movies between then and now, and I had forgotten this all together. I do recommend this movie for families as I see that kids especially boys will love it.

I had my birthday the other day

I just got the day before my b-day gift from a friend couple. They bought me activity wristband. It counts my steps, calories, distance and sleep. I would like to show you how far I walked yesterday, but apparently I need to sync that in the evening... I thought this was supposed to keep the data for a week, but no. But I do have some sleep data to show you.

Orange =awake time, Light blue = light sleep, and Dark blue = Deep sleep
So in the first picture you can see how I have slept (and at what time I went to bed). I think the times are when I put the wristband on the sleep mode and when I took it off that mode. But as you can see I woke you in middle of the night and tossed around for quite a good while. Not sure where the REM would be in this one. Normally when talking sleep patterns there is light, REM and Deep, so this is just a reference on how I sleep.

Synopsis of the night
In this picture I think the total sleep time means the time between the wristband being in sleep mode. Total sleep time would be the light and deep sleep together which is 7h 42mins. I did feel like I could sleep more, but that might be because I was awake during the night, so the sleep was not continuous. I think I woke up around 2 am and fell asleep again about 43 minutes later. I do remember tossing around a lot, I did not remember falling asleep though. So the awake time felt more continuous to me. I do sleep window open, so there might have been a noise coming outside that woke me up.  Lets see what the next night brings.

The activity wristband that I have is ZeFit MyKronotz.
