My bday party plans

Part of me doesn't want to celebrate, but as it is the social norm I think I better. Well I don't have to do big party, but I can plan one anyway. So here we go:

A big party
Everyone is invited (meaning relatives and friends). I would keep it in Upseerikerho or in S/S Kaunis Veera (yes because of the name). I would say to everyone to get their own place to stay. I would only have my sister  and couple of friends over. If my sister would find another place to stay than maybe I would be able to take more friends over. But anyways, if all would come I would devide the day in two. Those who have kids could come "early" for dinner and music. Friends and relatives without kids could come little bit later when there are no kids (because later there would be more drinking).

Only thing I would be doing would be stressing over who will start fighting first... Yeah I do not think that my relatives can be in one place without fighting. Maybe if I put to the invitation, that if you are not able to be civil please do not come! Also the invitation would be more like "pass it on, if you are her relative you are invited" and rsvp also.

Small party
Only friends invited and they could stay in my place. The party would be in a Teerenpeli restaurant. I would probably need to have a day party for friends and relatives who have kids later. But that would be just BBQ at home and only those who live close by would be invited.

No party
I win in lotto and am able to go travelling for my bday! Yay! Although it can't be very long trip as I need to be in Tornio in the end of August.

Only reason why I am thinking of the bday party now is because my friend had hers last weekend. She had rented a place for the weekend (which was quite cheap as it was winter). I was thinking that as an option for me as well, but my bday is in high season so the prices are almost tripple compared to hers... So I might not do that.

Next weekend I am going to do school stuff with the same energy as I am planning the bday party that I am more likely not going to have.

Phone problems!

I can't believe this! Last night I was listening to some music with my phone while it was charging. When I was ready to fall asleep I stopped the player and checked that there was no other applications running (as the battery life is short anyway, so I try to make sure that I don't have my fb open the whole night). After I had done that, my music player turned itself back on! This was the dance that we did: I shut it down from task manager and it turned itself on. So I shut down my phone. I decided not to put it on so that it could recharge itself in peace. I had already fallen asleep when I heard this sound and woke up. Have and behold, my phone had turned itself on!

So I decided what the heck, be on. Then I noticed that it wasn't sure if it was charging or not... I left it so that it showed it was charging. This morning when I woke up and check the phone, it was not charging. So I am not going to use it as after today the battery will be gone and I won't be able to recharge it. So I am charging my Nokia at the moment. I am not too guttered about the phone, as it was an old phone and a gift. It lasted me just under a year. So total shell life would be about two years I think.

Youtube watching

I've been addicted to Youtube again. I was off from there for a while (not finding anything interesting there). So I have now again found interesting things. It is not good when I am trying to get my brain to study mode and try to write more academic papers. So basically what I do is get stuck in YouTube watching IQ  and Graham Norton clips. Then I write in panic about something and keep fingers crossed that it is what the teacher has wanted. One good thing is that usually I laugh quite a lot. Of course it would be much better to see them from TV, but unfortunately they are not shown here and I can't watch anything from my TV as I don't have digibox.

Also I have been thinking what I want to do in August. I think I will have some kind of a bday party, but I am not sure if I really want to have a party or not. I am always just thinking the worst case scenario, so my party would not be very hip or happening. Also if I put the same energy to school as what I put to finding different places where to have my party I would do much better. Funny...

Panic! (at the disco)

I am trying to write my second task for the lectures. I am having a bit trouble with the task as to what the teacher wants us to write. I hope I am on the right tracks. I just have less than 24 hours to write it... Yikes!

I have been very school orientated today. I have done work, laundry and just about to go to the gym... Yes I am _very_ school orientated. But now. Back to what ever I was about to do.

Updates

A bit of updates. So far the school has gone well. No technical difficulties. THe first two tasks handed in, in time. Not yet heard anything from the teacher... But I am sure that it will take time to read through 21 papers. I should start my next task soon. The max the task can be is four pages, which is no problem. I just wish that I can produce that much material.

I do have a little problem. When I read the material that is given to us to help us do the task, I usually snooze off. I can't remember what I have just read from the articles. During the class I noticed that some of the questions that others asked were puzzling to me as I had no idea what they were talking about :/ Oh well... I think I need to get more vitamins to boost my *what'sitcalled*.

School

I have started my school a bit slow. I have read my articles for the first session, but I haven't ordered any books yet. Need to do that (note to self). I have more (suggested) articles that I need to read, but haven't had the time yet.

I had a dream where I was working in another place (I know this because there were lots of other people as well). In the locker room I was cleaning my stuff (because I was told I couldn't leave them there) which was mostly winnie the pooh stuff. Then I heard when this older lady started to talk about her school and what she was going to write in her thesis. I was all ears as I had no idea what to write. So I was all eager to hear what she was going to write about. Well she was just about to say it when I woke up :( I have had similar dreams earlier as well. So this was a repeater but a bit different.

But now back to work, as I need to go babysit my nephew and niece today, so I don't have that much time to write this.

The contact week

So my studies have now started. When I get back home I will be creating a study folder (a real one and one on my computer as well). I plan to print articles and stuff so that it is easier for me to read about it. I think that I will also need to write down some goals and schedule for the studies.

Next contact days will be in August. Which is a good news as this means that I don't have to travel that often to Tornio. With this I mean that I already have two times of the year when I come here, so it is good that I don't have to travel here all the time. Also it is good that we do not have summer school. This means that I will have some time to relax and not study 2,5 years in a row.

To capture the first week: We learned how to use the software that we are going to use to do the online studies. We will have contact session once a week online and we need to be prepared. In one course we will be doing presentations and in others we will be participating in discussions. We have small tasks and one big one in three courses. With this I mean that one big one is joined with the three courses. It means that we need to know how to join all the knowledge we have received so far.

We have talked about the thesis and how important it is to know what you are going to write about as early on as possible. I do not have any idea what I am going to write about. Luckily one of the teachers told me that he has an idea that I could write about. We shall see what it is. We had to give a presentation of who we are and where we are going. Also about our company and where it is headed. This is where the teacher had got the idea for my thesis.

All I can say is that I am so exited about this whole thing!
