Why does the music from home sound so much better, when you are miles and miles away home? I have never really loved the finnish music. A few good songs that I like and that has been it. I noticed this in Florida too. My friends sent me some finnish music (christmas karaoke as one...) and I noticed listening to the music everyday.
Also I noticed that I liked it very much. I was able to find the Rasmus from a local store in Florida and I actually bought it... It wasn't my favourite one as they sang in english, but it was a finnish band. That was enough for me. Still today if I hear some of the music that I listened to I get a bit nostalgic.
Now I have been listening to a cd that I got from my friend as a parting gift. I really have to say that the finnish music is very very good. I will probably change my mind when I visit Finland in six months, but hey I can't help it :)
I felt like that in Florida too - all of a sudden very patriotic about things like food, fashion and music! I like the Rasmus too! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I just knew it that you like the cd ;).
ReplyDeleteI know that you can't live without: " hei, hei mika sulla on..".
Okey, MAYBE it's a little bit annoying (i don't know how to spell that word) song, but I think that when you are listening that song you are thinking about me ;).
Missing u!
Indeed it is a bit annoying :) But that is its charm. Definately, when I hear that song I am thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteAlso it is optional to write in English ;)
