I've been away

From blog, I mean. Got tired of computers I think. Haven't literally even visited my blog for months. It is so easy to leave it behind. One major change has been, that I am working now. Only part-time and I am still looking for new opportunities. Anyhow, haven't had the energy or any stories to write here. I've been to movies and stuff, but haven't found any motivation to write about those. Honestly, I've been thinking about just deleting the blog.

Mystery movie to be released in 2015

I was able to get in to see a mystery movie that will be released later this year. Well it will be released today actually (in Finland I think, maybe allover). So I was excited to go see a movie of which I had no clue what so ever. This is to prove my point that I would enjoy a movie more if I knew nothing about it. We got a little free snack box of popcorn when we got it. That was a very nice thing in my opinion. I think they might have said so, but I can't remember. What I did not enjoy too much was the company. I am used to people sitting nicely and talking moderately while waiting for the movie to start. Now I had bunch of youngsters sitting behind me, and I started to worry if they would continue to talk through out the movie. Luckily they did not.

So the mystery movie was Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks. At first I was a bit worried about it, until I found the right mindset of just taking it in. In the end it is a very nice story of opposites. I know some people have been dissing the fact that it was winter in one country and summer in the other, but haven't you people heard of cinematic storytelling!? Just think of the opposites and your mind might be blown. If I were in school, I would love to do a paper of this movie. I could talk about the subject itself, or the cinematic storytelling or how the movie is presenting the countries involved. How I wish I was in school just to do a presentation of these subjects! You should consider this movie an eye opener.

Definitely a must see movie at some point! I can't wait to hear if others think the same way of the movie as I do. I don't want to tell too much, as it might spoil the movie. I might have told too much already, if you really don't want to hear anything (like I usually don't want to).

007 Spectre - 2015

To celebrate that I have started work, I went to see the new Bond movie. I was told that it was okey to see even though I hadn't seen the Skyfall. I already new what happened in Skyfall so there was no spoilers for me. I was surprised how many wanted to see the movie. We had to look for a proper time to fit our time table even though there were multiple showings going on. Our first pick was a no go, but the second one was ok. We were able to book the tickets before the theater was too full. (If it is too full, you can only buy the tickets, and we wanted to pay the tickets separately) (Well because she got a ticket from work and I got a ticket online cheaper that I could use to pay the ticket).

Now the movie! I liked all the references to old bond movies. I do remember it being said that Greig's Bond is a so called restart. What I do not remember is that was all the references from one or more movies. I think it was more, but come to think of it, I am not sure anymore. I did recognize some iconic scenes anyhow. It did feel a bit long for me and my friends taste. At some points it was just dragging along. I know others thought so too, because they checked their phones. I think my mistake was that I went in expecting a lot of action. This is not just an action movie. That is important to remember.

I do recommend this to all Bond fans to go see in the theater, because the sound will not be the same at home (nor the picture). Otherwise this is a good movie to watch at home too. It is not an epic saga, that you will miss not having seen it on big screen.

Work part II

Well, this day did not go as planned. I was at the workplace at eight ready to work the whole day, or more likely study the whole day. First I was not able to contact anyone (went to voice mail) and then secondly when I got a hold of a person I was told that the time was wrong and I found out that I didn't even have the contact person's number (nor name). So I waited almost an hour before I met anyone, While I was talking on the phone with my now supervisor, we talked about how I will be studying today and maybe watch over others doing similar work. Yes, you guessed right! All I did today was sign the contract for (less than) two months.

Work

Tomorrow it will start. My new job. I will also sign the contract tomorrow. I do not know how long I will be working tomorrow. I said I could start working the full hours right away. It might be that I will just sign the contract tomorrow. Also the job is not for as long as I was promised at first. I don't know who is going to meet me tomorrow as the person who called me did not text or email me the contact. It is a proper job, but it is a pilot project and apparently it is just starting. So the timetable has been just adjusted this week. I'll know more tomorrow.
